Z Swings By on Her Way to Clean Up

Z puts in her dinner order because she needs CALORIES
beans... but they better be cooked
and potatoes ... lotta calories

Confronting the Werewolf in the Room

D brings up the conflict he's seeing between Z and P and also for D
Z is completely unaware

P is avoidant
Z gets in P's face
I treat you nicer than anyone else alive

Deuce asks do you not wanna be a team?
you guys are great... and my friends... but... she didn't ask for any of this and she likes her previous life.

P leaves, heads east.
D goes upstairs
Z finishes eating, largely oblivious to the tension

Out and About

Pim Walks and Talks and Walks

Tall Pim shows up
"That didn't look great between you and your friends"

it strikes midnight

asks about Z (asks for their name)
and D (asks for the name again... P says "Z" and "D" not full names)

Tall Pim says he "gets around"

As Pim is moving along, Tall Pim hands him smooth flat rocks
that he calls "skipping stones"

P gets up from his "Thinking Pose" (with no negative consequence for whatever weird squat position he was in)

P hugs Tall Pim

Deuce upstairs

Deuce trying and failing to meditate
Knock at the door, it's Chuck (the barkeep/helper)
The room is completely bare and Chuck is there to make the beds

As Chuck starts to make the bed, he becomes a channel for Deuce's new Patron
Deuce freaks out.
Patron is using the vessel's voice (and maybe a little of their character), their eyes turn black, and time seems to freeze during these events.

Deuce clearly has no idea what he's done by signing this pact... he thinks of it as a genie he's released from a bottle.

Deuce doesn't hate "dark one"

Zelda vents to Nix

Z is just like, maybe those guys aren't cool
heads towards the Mal and the to-be cafe/temple on other side of town

Tall Pim appears, and Z is all "do I know you?"

yeah, I wasn't there. that wasn't me.

Z tells Nix she missed them.
says she lost sense of her purpose (but that's why you left, isn't it?)

Zelda B&Es checks on Mal

wants a visual check

she's trying to be quiet... Misty Steps in... but SQUEAKY door wakes Mal

Z twilight sanctuary's her to calm her and add a dusk light

Mal (and Nix) helps her see a potential direction with the boys
but also still kinda not?

She heads back to the inn

Zelda Bumps into Pim

Pim talks to Zelda

Z offers "scary dog privileges"

Pim's like "yeah, about that elation from the murder"
and then he's like... "no, that's for another time"
but she's like "no, that's a quick one"

She promises to mostly kill people who deserve it

and then she says
"I'm the first name in your book; I will do my best to earn that spot"

Pim checks in with Deuce and falls asleep on the floor while Z pops up a Tiny Hut in the alley

Just then Pim's eyes turn black

Calls D "Pebblehead" - though Deuce doesn't notice that at the time.

Deuce is so scared about what he did. He doesn't regret it, but he jumped in without knowing what he was doing and didn't really understand what was going on.

Z- it feels good to be the one who didn't make the bad choice
